I picked up this board and the “Good Juju” from someone’s yard sale… talk about a great deal, apparently some one’s friend bought them for him and his girlfriend and it didn’t work out, whatever. The point is they sold me both, plus two Doyle paddles for 1600, brand new. I’ve used the Cascade a few times and it’s awesome. SUPER light! It’s awesome to be on a paddle board that doesn’t feel like i’m paddling a damn dock through the water. I’m 5’10” and 195lbs and both trips out into the intercostal I had my 7 year old son on the front of the board and we had no problem maneuvering through the water. I’d say it might be a tad narrow for a beginner if they wanted to throw their kid on the front, but i’ve been surfing since i was a kid so it was perfect. We went out the inlet to circle around the jetty and paddled into a few little waves, it handled great. Although i would say it’s not the best for surfing, it’s got no rocker to it, it was great for some tiny waves with my son on the front. But that’s what i’ve got surfboards for. And it is also clearly labeled as a Touring board so that makes sense. Great board. I’ll review on the Good Juju when i get a chance to take it out.

We have two Cascades! They are fantastic! Stable and super fun to ride. We paddle mostly on a major river, but they are also great for lake paddling.
